I know many ascribe the mark of the beast to the papacy. They will give their right hand to support the teaching and belief that Sunday worship when enforce is the mark of the beast.
They perpetuate this teaching in direct opposition to the word of God. The word says the Papacy will have no dominion over the saints after 1260 years of Papal power is accomplished.
The mark belongs to the two horn beast and no one else. The two horn beast is the United States of America. When Christians debate and support the State sponsored sins of America, abortion, removal of pray, removal of the commandments, redefining marriage, supporting homosexuality and many other state sponsored sins which they enforce on other nations. That is the mark of the United States of America the two horn beast of Revelation 13:11-18.
It is these State sponsored sins that brings out the wrath of God. The angel said with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation;
